Prop 28: v4.7 Software Upgrade

We're announcing the release of Babylon version v4.7, a maintenance release that updates the Go toolchain and third-party dependencies.

• Go toolchain: Babylon v4.7 uses Go 1.26.10.

• Dependencies: Babylon v4.7 updates supporting third-party dependencies. The Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, and wasmd versions stay the same as in v4.6.

Actions for you

To ensure a smooth upgrade, we kindly request the following actions from you:

During the governance proposal (until November 5, 10:00 AM UTC):

• If you are a CometBFT Validator, vote YES for the governance proposal (ref).

Prior to the upgrade height 4980300 (before November 5, 12:00 PM UTC):

• Prepare the upgrade binary following the instructions documented here.

When the upgrade height 4980300 is reached (on November 5, around 12:00 PM UTC):

• Perform the steps documented here to upgrade your node.

• Verify that the upgrade was successful

  • If you are a CometBFT Validator, verify that your node is signing new blocks.

  • If you are not a CometBFT Validator, verify that your node is syncing the latest blocks.
