Prop 86: Deregister Deprecated Minitswap IBC OP INIT Pools
Summary
This proposal deregisters selected Minitswap pools associated with IBC OP INIT metadata for the following networks:
- Civitia
- Echelon
- Embr
- Inertia
- Rave
- Yominet
The proposal executes six 0x1::minitswap::deregister_pool calls. Each call targets one IBC OP INIT metadata address listed below.
Motivation
Minitswap was introduced to improve the withdrawal experience for users moving INIT back from rollups through OP bridge flows. Because OP bridge withdrawals could take roughly one day to complete, Minitswap enabled users to bring INIT.op back over IBC instantly and swap it into native INIT through dedicated liquidity pools.
With the migration to an attested IBC model, withdrawals for these routes can now be completed instantly through IBC itself. Users no longer need Minitswap as an intermediate path to convert INIT.op into native INIT, so the original purpose of these pools no longer applies.
Deregistering these pools deprecates the selected Minitswap registrations now that attested IBC provides the intended instant bridging path. The scope of this proposal is limited to the six networks and metadata addresses explicitly included below.
