Prop 11: Rebranding of FirmaChain to Baseline
Overview
This is a proposal to approve the rebranding of FirmaChain to Baseline.
Baseline is a Verification Oracle and Structured Indexer for Public Blockchains. It extends FirmaChain's core competency in digital trust and verifiable records into a broader mission: qualifying claims about market structure on public blockchains with reproducible, auditable verification outputs.
This proposal covers approval of the rebranding initiative only. It does not include any mainnet upgrade, binary changes, or parameter modifications. Technical upgrades associated with Baseline will be proposed separately through future governance proposals.
Once this proposal passes, the team will proceed with all branding, communication, ecosystem transition, and development work to establish the Baseline identity.
To support this effort, the team will publish a detailed plan and documentations covering the Baseline rebranding and the launch of the new business, and will work closely with ecosystem stakeholders(such as exchanges) to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated transition.
What Changes
- Brand Identity: FIRMACHAIN -> BASELINE
- Mission Scope: Document verification and digital trust -> Verification oracle for on-chain market structure + Global Trust Layer
- Ecosystem Continuity: Existing services (FirmaSign, FVAB, Proof of Creation) will continue in the Baseline ecosystem without disruption to current users or integrations
What Does Not Change
- Standard block validation and block rewards remain unchanged
- No action is required by node operators at this time
- Existing validator operations are unaffected
