Prop 48: Wind Down Rena's Nuwa from VIP

This proposal is submitted by the Initia Foundation on behalf of Rena. Please see the following statement from the team below

0. Proposer Info

1. TL;DR

This proposal seeks to formally wind down the Nuwa experiment and remove it from Initia’s VIP program.

2. Background

2-1 About the Project

3. Rationale & Impact

  • Background

    • Launched as part of Initia’s VIP program, it served as a way to explore how the community might interact with a TEE-enabled autonomous AI agent in a lightweight, incentive-based setting. Through Nuwa, contributors verified interactions using TEE and, in doing so, helped us test the boundaries of participation, coordination, and trust.
  • Why are you delisting Nuwa?

    • Nuwa has served its purpose as a proof-of-concept and has generated valuable insights into user interaction, TEE verification flows, and agent-based experiences.
    • We’re carrying those lessons forward into the next phase of Rena’s roadmap — refocusing on infrastructure and core products.
    • The experiment laid a strong foundation for Rena’s upcoming Private Data Marketplace and other B2B tools powered by TEEs.
    • It’s time to sunset Nuwa to allow Initia to redirect incentives toward new experiments and growth opportunities.

  • VIP Score and Rewards

    • VIP scores will continue to be uploaded until the delisting is finalized.
    • Unvested esINIT rewards will shift to “Zap-only mode” (convertible to locked INIT-USDC in Enshrined Liquidity).
    • Users with esINIT vesting from previous epochs can still claim rewards via the VIP Zap feature, but Nuwa will no longer support vesting after delisting.
  • What’s next?

    • Rena is building a Private Data Marketplace that enables model training and inference on private data without compromising user privacy. All data is protected via TEE, ensuring it is never exposed to humans or models directly.
    • We’re working with early B2B partners on tools that create real-world demand for TEE-based compute.
    • At the core is Rena’s data settlement chain — a public layer for attestation and integrity across all our upcoming products.
