This proposal seeks to formally enforce a governance-locked hard cap of 48 billion tokens for the Sentinel Network. While the Sentinel whitepaper specifies this cap, it is currently possible to modify the amount through governance. This proposal ensures that any future increase to the 48 billion cap can only be approved with a supermajority of 99% “yes” votes, while quorum requirements remain unchanged.
By implementing this measure, we safeguard the predictability and integrity of Sentinel’s tokenomics, ensuring that changes to the total supply are only made with overwhelming community consensus.
