Currently, users on the Nolus blockchain network are required to pay gas fees using the network's native asset, NLS. While this ensures utility for the native token, it imposes an additional step for new users who must acquire NLS solely for the purpose of paying gas fees. For example, a user wishing to open a lease position with USDC as their down payment must first acquire NLS to cover the transaction fees, creating unnecessary friction.
To address this issue, this proposal suggests adding support for USDC Noble (from both Osmosis and Neutron), ATOM, OSMO, and NTRN as alternative assets for paying gas fees. This will be implemented using the base-layer protocol's integrated fee abstraction mechanism, allowing users to transact more efficiently without needing to hold NLS specifically for gas payments.
This proposal represents a step forward in improving usability and accessibility on the Nolus network while maintaining the role of NLS as a core asset. By voting "YES" you agree to supporting the above-mentioned additional assets as alternative options for gas fee payments.
