Prop 219: Temporarily Reduce The Minimum Utilization Threshold (Osmosis AKT Pool)

Summary

The goal of this proposal is to modify the lending dynamics of the Osmosis AKT short pool on the Nolus mainnet. Currently, the pool operates with a minimum utilization threshold of 65%, restricting new deposits.

This proposal intends to temporarily reduce the utilization threshold to 30%. This would allow new deposits to enter the lending pool. Key benefits coming from this change are:

  • More Supply to Meet Potential Demand: When liquidity is low in a lending pool, less demand is needed to reach high utilization, slowing down growth in the process as new lenders need to enter to match that demand taking into consideration the minimum utilization threshold as well.

By voting "YES" on this proposal, you agree to temporarily make these adjustments to the Osmosis AKT LPP (liquidity providers' pool) smart contract and allow the protocol to reduce the minimum utilization threshold to 30% such that fresh deposits can enter the pool.
