Prop 443: INJ 3.0 Inflation Parameters Update 24Q3

Introduction As part of the broader INJ 3.0 tokenomics upgrade passed by community members in Injective Improvement Proposal-392 (IIP-392) to make INJ more deflationary, the lower and upper bounds of the INJ token supply parameters (inflation_min and inflation_max) will be decreased to 4.75% and 9.25% respectively, if this proposal passes. Timed with the Bitcoin halving, the INJ 3.0 governance proposal aimed to decrease the supply of INJ over the next two years, with accelerated rates of deflation based on the ratio of staked INJ on-chain. The specific token supply rate change parameter ensures that Injective remains adaptive and resilient. With this latest proposal, Injective aims to continue its trajectory of growth and innovation, ensuring that INJ remains at the forefront of Web3 finance.Actions:

  • By voting YES on this proposal, you agree to update the Injective chain’s inflation parameters according to the above description.
  • By voting NO on the proposal, you do not support updating the Injective chain’s inflation parameters according to the above description.
  • By voting NO WITH VETO, you find this proposal to be (1) spam, i.e., irrelevant to the Injective ecosystem, (2) disproportionately infringes on minority interests, or (3) violates or encourages violation of the rules of engagement as currently set out by Injective governance. If the number of ‘NoWithVeto’ votes is greater than a third of the total votes, the proposal is rejected and the 100 INJ deposit is burned.
  • By voting ABSTAIN, you wish to contribute to the quorum while formally declining to vote either for or against the proposal.
