Community spend proposal - Nodies onboarding & partnership
Summary: The Planq Foundation is asking for $10,000 (PLQ: 125.000 at $0,8) from the community pool to help pay for the services of Nodies for one year.
The Planq ecosystem and userbase is growing rapidly in the past months. This also brings more users and more network activity.
To make the Planq Network infrastructure more robust and future roof, the Planq core team has teamed up with Nodies.
Nodies is a web3 data & infrastructure company, and we are pleased to offer our RPC services to all Planq developers.
Founded in 2021 by ex-AWS engineers, Nodies has always focused on offering best-in-class RPC performance. Our entire fleet runs redundant nodes across multiple geographic regions to ensure optimal uptime and performance. In addition, we have automated advanced monitoring and alerts of all our infrastructure, block sync times, and latency to let us know our systems are running reliably. We conducted load testing on our Planq endpoints using Paradigm's Flood - an industry-standard benchmarking tool - to determine their performance when under stress. Using the eth_call and eth_getBlockByNumber methods as testing parameters, Nodies’ Planq nodes were able to sustain a throughput of at least 10,000 requests per second, maintaining a P90 latency of under 50 milliseconds throughout.
Nodies works with many notable chains such as Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, Evmos, Kava and many more.
Nodies will leverage these services to make the Planq Network more reliable and faster. Ways users could benefit from Nodies coming aboard is faster applications, both from the Planq team and from third-party developers, and a lightning-fast Metamask/Trustwallet.
Of course, such services are not free. The Planq Foundation has already covered the majority of these costs and a deal has been made. As of today, the infrastructure Nodies provides is already live.
All of these services can be used by both Planq, the community and third-party developers, making Planq a more attractive ecosystem to build in.
The Planq Foundation is asking for $10,000 (PLQ: 125.000 at $0,8) from the community pool as part of the payment between Nodies and Planq Network. These funds will be sent to and staked by Nodies, for a least 1 year, to the address provided by Nodies: plq1ysmjhfujq03vdzahv9gr9gtju0dw66v37x69ca
In return, Planq will leverage Nodies services until 1-2-2025.
