Prop 47: Increase governance proposal deposit from 500 BLD to 5000 BLD

In the Cosmos Ecosystem, scammers have been using governance proposals (typically with fake airdrop sites) to steal user seed phrase and tokens. Agoric is no exception.

Currently, Agoric’s proposal deposit is 500 BLD (about $50). This is too low. Here are some benchmarks: Osmosis: 1600 OSMO (about $500), CosmosHub: 250 ATOM (about $1500), Axelar: 2000 AXL (about $700).

This proposal, if passed, will raise Agoric’s governance proposal deposit from 500 BLD ($50) to 5000 BLD ($500).
