Babylon v4.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 2072934. It is estimated to take place 1 week ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd babylon
git pull
git checkout v4.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v4.2.0
babylond version

# Should be commit e65c3a55a398a403103f1b089cf76f0d4befc7a0
babylond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/babylond $HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v4.2.0
$HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4.2/bin/babylond version
