Dymension v4.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 10192266. It is estimated to take place 3 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd dymension
git pull
git checkout v4.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v4.0.0
dymd version

# Should be commit 5bbee2a0c74474bc159bd28bd2f70782e2352dcd
dymd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.dymension/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/dymd $HOME/.dymension/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v4.0.0
$HOME/.dymension/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin/dymd version
