Shentu v2.16.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 26267300. It is estimated to take place 3 weeks ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd shentu
git pull
git checkout v2.16.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v2.16.0
shentud version

# Should be commit c48f40cbd0931593bb13463a7acb76d958638f6e
shentud version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.16.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/shentud $HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.16.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v2.16.0
$HOME/.shentud/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.16.0/bin/shentud version
