Sunrise v1.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 765000. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sunrise
git pull
git checkout v1.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be HEAD-cb2df45b99bfe876b1bfe441fbabaa50c4010531
sunrised version

# Should be commit cb2df45b99bfe876b1bfe441fbabaa50c4010531
sunrised version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sunrise/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/sunrised $HOME/.sunrise/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be HEAD-cb2df45b99bfe876b1bfe441fbabaa50c4010531
$HOME/.sunrise/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.2.0/bin/sunrised version
