Xion Network v21.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 12690000. It is estimated to take place 2 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd xion
git pull
git checkout v21.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 21.0.0
xiond version

# Should be commit d7130e5b588e0b6cb64164108aa9e4621fb4e310
xiond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/xiond $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 21.0.0
$HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin/xiond version
