Xion Network v20.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 10930000. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd xion
git pull
git checkout v20.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 20.0.0
xiond version

# Should be commit 2f469e6545aad1c98ff4d6ce444d1a8b1401c0e0
xiond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/xiond $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 20.0.0
$HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v20/bin/xiond version
