Router Protocol 2.2.8 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 15641500. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd router
git pull
git checkout 2.2.8
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.2.8
routerd version

# Should be commit 5998b63f2136d56bcd721a77f3efd08a33d63a90
routerd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.routerd/cosmovisor/upgrades/2.2.7-to-2.2.8/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/routerd $HOME/.routerd/cosmovisor/upgrades/2.2.7-to-2.2.8/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.2.8
$HOME/.routerd/cosmovisor/upgrades/2.2.7-to-2.2.8/bin/routerd version
