Elys Network v6.4.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 4842000. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd elys
git pull
git checkout v6.4.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v6.4.0
elysd version

# Should be commit 797973c27de76af422794bf5dd853a9d436f9eb8
elysd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/elysd $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v6.4.0
$HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.4/bin/elysd version
