CosmosHub v25.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 26659700. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v25.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v25.1.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 070fe2f683b645d4839ec79adfc1ea4309a1f843
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v25.1.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v25.1.0/bin/gaiad version
