Elys Network v6.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 4415000. It is estimated to take place 4 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd elys
git pull
git checkout v6.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v6.1.0
elysd version

# Should be commit cd4539687824491b0dd767568a45832a2cac1e1a
elysd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.1/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/elysd $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.1/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v6.1.0
$HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v6.1/bin/elysd version
