Babylon v2.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 596369. It is estimated to take place 4 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd babylon
git pull
git checkout v2.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v2.0.0
babylond version

# Should be commit 46f6210b7382d3d4ad63f3d1e8c1ad25bbd472e5
babylond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/babylond $HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v2.0.0
$HOME/.babylond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2/bin/babylond version
