Juno v29.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 27249650. It is estimated to take place 4 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd juno
git pull
git checkout v29.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v29.0.0
junod version

# Should be commit a63f2d3a65374a47d991cbed559f2b8e878db0a4
junod version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/junod $HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v29.0.0
$HOME/.juno/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin/junod version
