CosmosHub v24.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 26131400. It is estimated to take place 4 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v24.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v24.0.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 05e104f83ddcbc10311f03da002db73a462af813
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v24.0.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin/gaiad version
