Elys Network v5.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 3810000. It is estimated to take place 5 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd elys
git pull
git checkout v5.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v5.0.0
elysd version

# Should be commit ba08c7e59b9ad9c3c84dc5a91b8d4a7821878807
elysd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/elysd $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v5.0.0
$HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5/bin/elysd version
