Elys Network v4.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 3565000. It is estimated to take place 2 weeks ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd elys
git pull
git checkout v4.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v4.0.0
elysd version

# Should be commit 468015b5357412a3a73a5c260c6510069cc5a80b
elysd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/elysd $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v4.0.0
$HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v4/bin/elysd version
