SGE Network v1.8.2 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8912597. It is estimated to take place 3 weeks ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sge
git pull
git checkout v1.8.2
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.8.2
sged version

# Should be commit ac0bd20b44d41ed2f0ee4c27cd8de664e368a5e7
sged version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.2/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/sged $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.2/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.8.2
$HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.2/bin/sged version
