CosmosHub v23.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 25602300. It is estimated to take place 5 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v23.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v23.2.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit d361c0351d4730adcc8d006548888601b22f9b0f
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v23.2.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23.2.0/bin/gaiad version
