SGE Network v1.8.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 8702453. It is estimated to take place 2 weeks ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sge
git pull
git checkout v1.8.1
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.8.1
sged version

# Should be commit 8127db86beb05972299cc65621f4834b19efe864
sged version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.1/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/sged $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.1/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.8.1
$HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.8.1/bin/sged version
