Elys Network v3.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 3139000. It is estimated to take place 6 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd elys
git pull
git checkout v3.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v3.0.0
elysd version

# Should be commit a1b4d2a3ad085f9119ccee85991d8eac418033ca
elysd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/elysd $HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v3.0.0
$HOME/.elys/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin/elysd version
