Osmosis v29.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 33187000. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v29.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 29.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit b652463bb3e848f8320536d8df0f28383a915ebd
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 29.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v29/bin/osmosisd version
