Akash v0.38.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 20608553. It is estimated to take place 7 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd akash
git pull
git checkout v0.38.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v0.38.0
akash version

# Should be commit 58411565057bdfbdd33b5b50a4599b8f1d2692b7
akash version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.akash/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.38.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/akash $HOME/.akash/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.38.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v0.38.0
$HOME/.akash/cosmovisor/upgrades/v0.38.0/bin/akash version
