Jackal v4.5.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 11945000. It is estimated to take place 8 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd jackal
git pull
git checkout v4.5.0
make install

Check Version

# should be canary
canined version

# Should be commit 35b7b300ef25242b95f47bd1f1b30ee1531dd6de
canined version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v450/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/canined $HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v450/bin

Check Version Again

# should be canary
$HOME/.canine/cosmovisor/upgrades/v450/bin/canined version
