Xion Network v17.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 5942000. It is estimated to take place 8 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd xion
git pull
git checkout v17.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 17.0.0
xiond version

# Should be commit 42ea2dcadc0e73271cf33dd462de460bc7c239b2
xiond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/xiond $HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 17.0.0
$HOME/.xiond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v17/bin/xiond version
