ZetaChain v28.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7182700. It is estimated to take place 2 days from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd zetachain
git pull
git checkout v28.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 28.0.0
zetacored version

# Should be commit 02f7a33ada5c6917d086447bc36851ffef45a80c
zetacored version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/zetacored $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 28.0.0
$HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin/zetacored version
