Lava v5.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 2268700. It is estimated to take place 1 day from now. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd lava
git pull
git checkout v5.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 5.2.0
lavad version

# Should be commit 2973ca10f54a1d6de4273732304a65925de6e144
lavad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.lava/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/lavad $HOME/.lava/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 5.2.0
$HOME/.lava/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.2.0/bin/lavad version
