CosmosHub v22.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 24592000. It is estimated to take place 8 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v22.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v22.2.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 0cac467f7673929c909aaf99e207d90280ab61a5
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v22.2.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v22.2.0/bin/gaiad version
