This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 18366284. It is estimated to take place 1 week ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd agoric
git pull
git checkout agoric-upgrade-18a
make install

Check Version

# should be agoric-upgrade-18a
agd version

# Should be commit agoric-upgrade-18a
agd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-18a/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/agd $HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-18a/bin

Check Version Again

# should be agoric-upgrade-18a
$HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-18a/bin/agd version
