Nibiru v2.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 18538950. It is estimated to take place 9 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd nibiru
git pull
git checkout v2.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 2.0.0
nibid version

# Should be commit d8a10921ff014d1ecf9e096f2dbdc21d6f521c4b
nibid version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.nibid/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/nibid $HOME/.nibid/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 2.0.0
$HOME/.nibid/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.0.0/bin/nibid version
