ZetaChain v24.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6242700. It is estimated to take place 10 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd zetachain
git pull
git checkout v24.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 24.0.0
zetacored version

# Should be commit b76887231db195fd107902fe3d4206af4b9dd18b
zetacored version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/zetacored $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 24.0.0
$HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v24/bin/zetacored version
