Osmosis v28.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 25861100. It is estimated to take place 11 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd osmosis
git pull
git checkout v28.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 28.0.0
osmosisd version

# Should be commit 39ec8f9e54742aa52ed531210b02218171dfadd9
osmosisd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/osmosisd $HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 28.0.0
$HOME/.osmosisd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28/bin/osmosisd version
