Gitopia v5.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 29437704. It is estimated to take place 10 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd gitopia
git pull
git checkout v5.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 5.1.0
gitopiad version

# Should be commit 3b1ea32980e79ea74a1398f78a0388867e8d5fd4
gitopiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gitopiad $HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 5.1.0
$HOME/.gitopia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.1.0/bin/gitopiad version
