ZetaChain v23.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6087450. It is estimated to take place 10 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd zetachain
git pull
git checkout v23.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 23.0.0
zetacored version

# Should be commit 734b2e9fb87b974acb99f7c8298852445fe61305
zetacored version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/zetacored $HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 23.0.0
$HOME/.zetacored/cosmovisor/upgrades/v23/bin/zetacored version
