dYdX v7.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 29950000. It is estimated to take place 11 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd dydx
git pull
git checkout v7.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be 7.0.1
dydxprotocold version

# Should be commit b3b12f3f00cf2e350e862d095740c60ebf7b107b
dydxprotocold version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/dydxprotocold $HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 7.0.1
$HOME/.dydxprotocol/cosmovisor/upgrades/v7.0/bin/dydxprotocold version
