Neutron v5.0.1 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 16738000. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd neutron
git pull
git checkout v5.0.1
make install

Check Version

# should be 5.0.1
neutrond version

# Should be commit 954660e40667a67dba1fb68dc347ba1ec90f9c1f
neutrond version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/neutrond $HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 5.0.1
$HOME/.neutrond/cosmovisor/upgrades/v5.0.0/bin/neutrond version
