Quicksilver v1.6.4 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 9829000. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd quicksilver
git pull
git checkout v1.6.4
make install

Check Version

# should be v1.6.4
quicksilverd version

# Should be commit 965a6c898be7d5d7a8e19b9c4e1984f3ce58f722
quicksilverd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6.4/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/quicksilverd $HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6.4/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v1.6.4
$HOME/.quicksilverd/cosmovisor/upgrades/v1.6.4/bin/quicksilverd version
