CosmosHub v21.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 22953640. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v21.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v21.0.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit db2cc90315161d6730551d795558aaa7664aea6f
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v21.0.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v21/bin/gaiad version
