Archway v9.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 6836450. It is estimated to take place 1 year ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd archway
git pull
git checkout v9.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 9.0.0
archwayd version

# Should be commit 5eb8a3062e1b457b6732d681f742e54facbf8b18
archwayd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.archway/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.0.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/archwayd $HOME/.archway/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.0.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 9.0.0
$HOME/.archway/cosmovisor/upgrades/v9.0.0/bin/archwayd version
