This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 16947291. It is estimated to take place 1 month ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd agoric
git pull
git checkout agoric-upgrade-17
make install

Check Version

# should be 0.35.0-u17.1
agd version

# Should be commit 525943056
agd version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-17/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/agd $HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-17/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 0.35.0-u17.1
$HOME/.agoric/cosmovisor/upgrades/agoric-upgrade-17/bin/agd version
