Quasar v3.0.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 7982200. It is estimated to take place 2 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd quasar
git pull
git checkout v3.0.0
make install

Check Version

# should be 3.0.0
quasard version

# Should be commit 3b83f60be14100eeac027d7d9aa68b5873e9795e
quasard version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.quasarnode/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/quasard $HOME/.quasarnode/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin

Check Version Again

# should be 3.0.0
$HOME/.quasarnode/cosmovisor/upgrades/v3/bin/quasard version
