SGE Network v2.1.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 5084800. It is estimated to take place 3 months ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd sge
git pull
git checkout v2.1.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v2.1.0
sged version

# Should be commit 5fae06aef3f691b8554e54a5bb6524cdf7b93f70
sged version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.1.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/sged $HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.1.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v2.1.0
$HOME/.sge/cosmovisor/upgrades/v2.1.0/bin/sged version
